Human Appeal
— The brief
Place elite cricket legacy in service of a serious humanitarian cause.
The public programme needed to feel substantial without becoming noisy: two globally recognised cricketers, three UK cities, one clear charity partner, and a booking path that donors could understand immediately.
— SLM approach
- Position the programme around the shared legacy of the two Ws: Wasim Akram and Waqar Younis.
- Present Birmingham, Manchester, and London as one coherent UK fundraising moment.
- Keep donor-facing information direct: dates, venues, booking details, personal messages, and the cause.
- Support the programme with careful partner storytelling through the Human Appeal tribute cluster.
— Public programme
The event pages carry the public dates, venues, booking details, posters, and personal video messages.
The Human Appeal hub explains the charity's work with sourced, dated figures and direct donation links.
The legend profiles connect the programme back to the verified careers and commercial relevance of Wasim Akram and Waqar Younis.
